salvalentine asked: Greetings from New Zealand. I appreciate what you're doing here like you wouldn't believe. Without access to a large amount reasonably priced 'new' garments thanks to NZ's location in the world, op-shopping or 'thrifting' is a huge part of my style and it's good to see someone of the blogging community at large having blogging success blogging about what seems to be entirely vintage jawns. MUCH LOVE.
Woah! Thank you so much!
This might be a good opportunity to point out that not everything I wear and post here is vintage per se. I try to identify which items I have that are new, and some of my second-hand clothes simply aren’t old enough to warrant a ‘vintage’ designation. ‘Vintage’ is a term I try to reserve for items that I can determine with reasonable certainty to be at least 20 years old — give or take a few years. I’ll admit that my usage is kind of arbitrary, and there are plenty of people who would certainly dispute my definition. Ultimately, I like to use the term to illustrate that there is a way to wear older, second-hand goods in a way that — I hope! — my followers find interesting, contemporary, and creative.
In any case, thank you again. I’m definitely feeling the love.
